The MOUNTAIN 8201 R-12 to R-134a Conversion Quick Connect Coupler Set is a great set of conversion tools. With these, you can convert your old system into the new one and it won’t cost much in terms of time or money.
I found 18 customer reviews at the time of writing and they had awarded this product 4.5 stars out of a possible 5 on average.
There were only three negative reviews, but all are for minor nitpicks that don’t affect how useful I think this conversion kit would be for most people who own an older air conditioning unit like me! One customer said there was no instruction manual included with their order – “no instructions”
However, given how helpful other customers have been about finding solutions online when required (such as converting from a standard valve to what appears to be an incompatible model) I find it unlikely anyone will want or need such documentation anyway! Another person complained about being unable to use the couplers on both ends due to having different size fittings which seems very picky indeed! Finally, another reviewer mentioned that “the clamps did not fit well; they leaked after some pressure” which really isn’t something worth commenting upon since any leakages should be easy enough fixed if necessary without too many problems with fitting them in place properly first off!.
