When it comes to metal work, I will never go without my big-head peel back aluminum, steel mandrel pop rivet. They have been a staple in all of our metal projects since the day they arrived. There are many others that try to imitate these rivets but nothing compares to these! The large head and long shank come with an easy pull handle for quick placement on either piece being worked on. We love them so much we switched from using standard bolts when building frames and gates because peeling off the old bolt is difficult compared to popping out this one like taking candy from a baby’s hand.

The customer reviews on Amazon are positive overall, but there were some niggling points raised about quality control which caused people to state that these riveters might not be what you would expect them to be. For example one customer said in their review “They say it is 3/16″, but its actually more like 1/8″.” Other customers also mentioned receiving defective products and said things like “the screws don’t fit properly.” However none of these reviewers have managed to get through this problem so maybe this isn’t an issue for everyone just yet?
